Invasive carp: A fishy situation

The Supreme Court recently rejected an appeal for emergency measures that would have protected the Great Lakes from invasive Asian carp. Environmental groups support the Supreme Court’s decision, arguing that a long-term solution must be formed to effectively stop the carp from spreading. If the carp move into Lake Michigan, they will threaten recreational boaters, the fishing industry and native fish species.
